UWA has become a foundation member of the Matariki Network of Universities, a select group of high-quality universities across seven nations.
And Vice-Chancellor Professor Alan Robson has been appointed Chair of the Worldwide Universities Network board.

The University of Western Australia is supporting the WA Museum’s A Day In Pompeii exhibition (May 21 – Sept 5) and will have four experts presenting an insight into the ancient civilisation of Pompeii famously preserved in time by hot ash from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD79.

UWA Friends of the Grounds is holding a photographic competition to celebrate the majesty and mystery of the UWA grounds in the lead-up to the 2013 Centenary celebrations. Images for this competition will be included in the Friends of the Grounds calendars for 2012 and 2013. Images may include the grounds of the UWA Crawley, Claremont and Albany campuses, as well as the UWA Sports Park. The closing date is 31 May 2011.
