The Hackett Foundation

Chair's message

Rod Eddington

Established to meet the demands of the new century, the Hackett Foundation will ensure our University continues to deliver academic leadership, while embracing change and challenge.

To enable the University to pursue its mission and achieve these goals, the Hackett Foundation seeks to forge new alliances within the community. As a proud graduate of UWA, I invite you to join us in this exciting enterprise.

Rod Eddington
Chairman

The Hackett Foundation was established in 1998 to facilitate philanthropy towards UWA.

Former CEO of British Airways, Chairman of the Hackett Foundation, and Graduate of UWA, Sir Rod Eddington, describes the Hackett Foundation as “meeting the demands of the new century”.

Donations to the Hackett Foundation fund vital research through scholarships, endowed chairs and research centres, construction of modern facilities, as well as other important projects.

As a charitable entity, all gifts to UWA are tax deductible. All gift processing costs are covered by the University so donors may be assured that 100 per cent of their gift will be used for the purpose that it was given.

Gifts to Hackett Foundation projects range from special funding allocation from larger international funds, to monetary donations, to bequests and legacies.

The Patrons of the Hackett Foundation are distinguished people who donate their time to supporting the endeavours of the University.

The collective success of the partnerships between the Hackett Foundation and more than 7,390 donors (individuals and organisations) are reported in the Hackett Foundation Annual Report.
