Vice Chancellor's message
We are approaching our Centenary, a time to celebrate 100 years of outstanding success and service. Our graduates have returned to study higher degrees, or assume roles such as ambassadors, mentors, and providers of career placement.
We need your support as well.
Since 2001, thousands of graduates have contributed to the Annual Fund, which is transforming our University. I encourage you to support the Fund at whatever level you feel able.

Why give to the Annual Fund?
As UWA alumni, you know the difference a university education has made to your life. Now you can ensure others have the same opportunity – simply by making a donation.
As a university, we provide people with the skills and quality learning environments to help them make their mark on the world. The University of Western Australia is aiming to be one of the world’s top 50 universities by the year 2050. That vision requires the financial support of our alumni to help us:
- Provide scholarships for those outstanding students who face financial hardship
- Build facilities to enable the highest level of research and learning
- Attract and retain the best possible research and teaching staff
What is the money being raised for?
Since 2001 gifts from thousands of UWA alumni to the Annual Fund have raised over $2.5 million.
The impact these generous donations have made at UWA is cause for celebration.
Popular areas for support are:
- Unrestricted gifts - Gifts to this fund allow the University to direct gifts to areas of highest need, allowing us to remain flexible and robust
- Scholarships - Ensuring that every admitted student, regardless of financial resources, can afford to attend UWA
- Faculty support - You can choose to direct your gift to a particular faculty if you would like to support the area where you studied - this enables that Faculty to direct gifts to the areas of highest need within a particular area of study and research
