I have found Medicine to be exciting, challenging and overall enjoyable. The fun starts right away in first year. We all get to spend a week in a rural town blending in with the locals while investigating their health services. Rural week also provided us with the opportunity to bond closely with classmates.

Now that I'm in the hospitals I'm really touched by the number of patients who are willing to have me involved in their care. They really do want us to learn and be the best doctors we can be.

UWA is a really great university and I'm glad I chose it. I've had fun while studying by being involved with UWA's Rural Health Club and sports teams. Being an indigenous student, having a community around me is really important and I get that through the School of Indigenous Studies.

Medicine is a long course but with some hard work and good time management, one day I'll fulfil my dream of being a doctor!
